Biathlon is the most popular winter sport in Europe. Not so in North America. This site is run by a desert dwelling native of North America who speaks only English. This should give you an idea of the limitations Pow! Biathlon News has upon it.

I hope to have all North American events listed whether they are the Olympics or at the club level. You should also expect to see all major events outside of North America listed here, along with any biathlon news from anywhere in the world.

It's hard to get involved in Biathlon in North America. Hopefully this site will help people find events that they can participate in as a volunteer, athlete or fan; and keep them interested.

Monte Workman created the header graphic and deserves much credit for his layout help. I stole css from Brandon Stone's websites in order to learn css better. I know that some of it exists here unchanged, although I tried to replace it all with my own. Either way, he deserves credit.

There was a tutorial on form css and another tutorial on calendar css which I used for the forms and calendar style-sheets used on this site. Unfortunately I forget the original sources.

I use PHP Calendar for the calendars. It's old, but by far the best little php module ever made. Other than that, I use Linux, vim, gimp, apache and mysql. Oh yeah, I use wordpress to manage news, but not display it.
